He was born in Patras, Greece.
He studied at the University of Fine Arts in Florence, where he graduated in 1981, getting full marks and commendation.
In September of 1999 he received the equivalent of his artistic productivity with Doctorate in the field “Fine Art Composition & Applications” from the scientific council of ITE (National Institute of Technological Education) His artistic creativity moves in the area of Constructions, Sculpture, Painting and Fine Art Photography. He has undertaken international teaching activity in many European Universities since 1995 giving Lectures and Tutorials and holding Workshops and Portfolio Reviews.
He is professor in the Technological Educational Institution (T.E.I.) of Athens -Department of Photography & Audiovisual Arts in the courses “Art History”, “Picture Composition” and “Visual Arts Applications”. For 8 consecutive years (1997-2005) he realized lectures, tutorials and workshops as Visiting Professor at the Kent Institute of Art & Design (as of 2005 UCA) for the MA Fine Art and MFA (International Practice) Programs within the School of Fine Art. He was elected Head of the Photography & Audiovisual Arts Department of T.E.I. 3 consecutive times (2004-2006-2008).
In September of 2014 he was elected President of the Department. He has presented his work in numerous personal exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has participated in many group exhibitions. He has developed multilateral international artistic activity with a lot of attendances in European and world art symposiums.
He is the author of two art-theoretical books: COMPOSING–Basic Principles of Picture Making & APPLICATIONS IN THE VISUAL ARTS – Creating with Parallel Expressive Media).
Recognized art critics repeatedly have been reported on his work. His work is found in public and private collections in Greece and abroad.
